In this week’s Information Safety & COVID-19 newsletter for April 24, there are several key updates regarding COVID-19 including yesterdays announcements from Governor Pritzker.

UPDATE Illinois Stay At Home Order Extended – as announced in yesterday’s COVID-19 news conference by Governor Pritzker, the Illinois Stay at Home Order has been now been extended from the end of April through May 30 with some revisions noted below made from the April Stay at Home Order.

  • Outdoor Recreation – some state parks, fishing & boating activities as well golf courses may start a phased re-opening in May under strict safety guidelines.
  • New Essential Businesses – Greenhouses, garden centers & nurseries will be permitted to re-open as essential business provided they follow designated COVID-19 safety guidelines.
  • Non Essential Business – Retail stores not considered as essential businesses will have the option to re-open in May provided they follow designated COVID-19 safety guidelines & only fulfill phone & online orders for curbside pick-up & delivery.
